Best Furniture Cape Verde was created by Irishman Joseph "JJ" Sullivan. Originally a builder by trade Joseph invested, like many Irish did, in emerging markets during the overseas property boom.

Joseph had an accident whilst on a routine job at work and was in severe pain. An mri scan, months of bedrest and several physiotherapists later meant that Joseph had neglected his overseas investment and found himself panicing and ultimately rushing into decisions. This along with companies not being completely truthful to him, caused Joseph to take matters into his own hands. He vowed that he would not make the same mistakes again and would go it alone.

After researching the local markets and suppliers on the rest of investments, Joseph found friends and acquaintances coming to him for advice. That is when he decided to setup Best Furniture Cape Verde, a sister site of Best Furniture Bulgaria.

Joseph has since got his family involved in the business and it has grown from there.
